Fine Art Print of Original Artwork by Moriah M. Mylod
"Elephant Headed Goddess: The Heart of Ganesha" print is based off of acrylic paint + ink on canvas painting from 2021, it's original size is 20 x 20
~
Moriah loves exploring world religions, fantasy and the mythologies. As an interest in Jungian Psychology, Moriah explored mythos ideals in her art. Did you know there is a feminine form of Ganesha, the well known Masculine Elephant Headed Deity (in Hindu mythology)? This painting is an impression of the feminine elephant-headed goddess, Vinayaki or Ganeshini. The Goddess could also be known as “The Remover the Obstacles” and “New Beginnings.” Unlike Ganesha, this tantric Goddess is rarely known in Hinduism nor written in their holy scriptures, but what could be known about her is that she is “written” on the walls in relief sculptured ornamental forms of ancient temples. Are the arts not just another form of communication that voice the mysteries of the cosmic experience.
~
In her hand she holds your blossoming laurels in loving acknowledgment
In front of you, her trunk curling tightly with the buds and budding lotus flowers of Potentiality
She is listening more than speaking with ears to hear
Her skin thick and marred from the arena of swift components
The mouse that squeak and scurry about neither knowing victory nor defeat
The crown of adornment of your cosmic remembrance
Coins of your chakras fallings from the heavens
A reminder that riches are within, good health, and non-material wealth
Her vessel adorned such are the sacred body temples we inhabit
She greets you in the new day and at the ending of your tribulation
She is joyfully dancing simultaneously releasing your obstacle
She is the Heart of Ganesha, she is The Goddess, Ganeshini!
