As artists we may die 1000’s of times, but dying doesn't always mean death. For an artist warrior, it may mean transformation, transcendence or rebirth into something new. When wings break, give away or even taken away for reasons known or unknown to us...It just takes time for new wings to form, grow, unwrinkle, dry off and span out once more into anew flight.

Butterflies may be a symbol with many different meanings. In this case, the piece was created in the honor of metamorphosis, of constant evolution of being- like human beings, artists and art therapists alike. 

Lastly, this piece welcomes the notion of an ever soaring human spirit despite it all.
